Contributing to AvA
There are four ways to contribute to AvA:
Any one of these will put you on the alliance AvA participation list, and you will get any rewards that the alliance wins at the end of the phase.
Our own camps
The first three actions all take part in our own camps. You find all these by clicking on the bottom left button on the alliance screen, marked "Camps". You can then click on any of the camps that are open/started. This opens up a new menu with the camp info and possible actions. On the left hand side there are five buttons:
Selecting a camp to engage
Use the War Map and go to the region we have our camps. Hit "Next" in the list until you find an alliance that isn't stronger than us (click on the name of the alliance to see info). If you want to send a positive action (Aid, Bribe or Barter) you should find a friendly or neutral alliance, and if you want to send other actions you should find a neutral or enemy alliance. Spy actions can be sent to anyone.
Click on the "Go" button to select the alliance. You will get a new screen with the three areas in the region listed. Any info that the alliance has about the enemy camps will be displayed, if no info is known the areas will simply show "No known camp". There can also be a camp in an area that we have not identified, and the message will then show "Unidentified Camp".
The following info can be displayed about a camp:
Note that by looking at the various camps in the region and their level, you can determine the strength of the bonuses. If a camp is not garrisoned it will also be MUCH easier to gain victory, but you will only get half as many spoils for each win. If you attack well defended camps you gain the full amount of spoils for each win, but your chance of winning is reduced. If you are not very strong you will probably gain MORE spoils by hitting the empty camps. You should also remember that the info displayed might be old and outdated, and that you can always go back to the "War Map" in order to find another alliance to attack.
Engaging a camp
When you have selected an alliance to target, the display will show the three available areas in the region, and what info we have gathered about them. There are 3 options for performing an action:
After selecting the SS you have the usual nine possible actions:
The silver gained and lost is from what is paid in to upgrade the camp to the next level. If no silver is paid in, no silver can be lost. Any silver gained goes toward the next upgrade of the camp.
Note that ONLY the SS that are garrisoned in the region can attack!
How to gain the maximum amount of silver from a broken enemy camp
The smartest tactic is to attack undefended camps (broken camps). They will have no silver or a limited amount, so you often don't gain anything by stealing. If you want to farm the camp you simply send a lot of Barter or Swindle actions against the camp prior to sending a wave of Steal actions. The first two give the camp silver, which you then steal! Remember that it's not smart to send Harass against the same camp, as that simply destroys the silver so that you can't steal it!
Rewards from winning actions against other camps
The usual spoil of gained by winning is a random common resource, but there is also a chance to gain a rare boon or a "Spoil of XXX". You keep this reward, but the "Spoil of XXX" is only useful for upgrading camps (of the same type as the action you took to gain the spoil) or to activate an Alliance Challenge. As long as the alliance is upgrading camps you should focus on the actions that give the correct spoils, but you can always give the other spoils to the challenges.
Note that you can only gain spoils if you attack an area/camp that is in the same area that we have a camp. The level of our camp AND the number of enemy defenders determine the chance of gaining spoils. If the camp that you are attacking have at least 5% of the max amount of SS, you gain the full amount of spoils according to your camp level. If there are fewer defenders the amount of spoils can be cut with as much as 50% for an undefended camp.
If you have any questions or corrections, please post them below!
There are four ways to contribute to AvA:
- Give resources for upgrading a camp
- Pay silver to repair a camp
- Send SS to garrison a camp
- Send an action against the camp of another alliance
Any one of these will put you on the alliance AvA participation list, and you will get any rewards that the alliance wins at the end of the phase.

You can then click on any of the camps that are open/started. This opens up a new menu with the camp info and possible actions. On the left hand side there are five buttons:
- Upgrade - When this is selected you will see what is needed in order to upgrade the camp to the next level, and you can give silver or stuff to the camp.
- Stats - This will show the stats of the camp. These used in defense if the camp is empty, and they give bonus to attacks and defense in the region.
- Garrison - This will show who are garrisoning the camp, and gives you the opportunity to send SS to the camp or to recall your SS.
- Action - This will show the results of the latest actions against the camp, and who did the action.
- Provision - This will show the latest contributions toward upgrading or fixing the camp, and who did it.
In addition there will be a display when the camp is damaged, and you can click to repair part or the whole of the damage.
Note that you can cycle through the camps by hitting the arrows at the sides of the name of the camp (at the top of the screen).
Garrisoning our camps
Each player can send several SS to each camp, but the limit is dependent on the camp level. That means that the alliance is depending on as many people as possible contributing. The max amount of SS in a garrison also depends on the level of the camp, but it's unlikely that we will reach that limit.
Contributing SS is cheap! Each SS will take up one point of CP while it's in the garrison, and it's recommended that you send in cheap SS as they can die in the defense of our alliance. Remember that you have to pay the same amount again to resurrect the SS, and that it loses a level.
You can heal your SS by locating it in your keep and giving it medicine. You can also recall it and send in a new SS from the "Camp" menu. When you have an SS in a camp it will be displayed in the camp "picture". If it is out on a mission it will display what type and how long it has left before it returns.
Finding other camps
In order to find and send actions toward other camps you must select the button on the alliance screen that is marked "War Map". The new menu will now display seven tabs in the form of flags at the top, marked with "Overall" and each of the eight regions, and you can select a region by clicking on the tab. Below this tab list is a list of camps listed by alliance rank in the region. At the start this is on the page with our alliance, but you can click "Next" or "Prev" to navigate the list. The list have five elements:Note that you can cycle through the camps by hitting the arrows at the sides of the name of the camp (at the top of the screen).

When you have selected an alliance to target, the display will show the three available areas in the region, and what info we have gathered about them. There are 3 options for performing an action:
- All - Send all your garrisoned SS (in that region) against the chosen camp/area.
- Group - Send all you garrisoned SS (in that region) that matches the action you select against the chosen camp/area. If you select "Spy", you will send all Intrigue SS.
- Single - You will now get the familiar menu for sending SS on actions, and must chose an SS.
After selecting the SS you have the usual nine possible actions:
- Fight - Damages the loser's camp
- Harass - Depletes the target's silver
- Aid - Repair the target's camp
- Barter - Gain silver for both camps
- Swindle - Gain silver for both camps AND damages the loser's camp
- Bribe - Speeds target's camp upgrade
- Spy - Reveal updated info about target camp
- Sabotage - Damage target camp
- Steal - Winner gains silver from the loser's camp
The silver gained and lost is from what is paid in to upgrade the camp to the next level. If no silver is paid in, no silver can be lost. Any silver gained goes toward the next upgrade of the camp.
