Guide for new players (and some info for old)

Some of the most useful info in the Q'n'A is on how to post requests for help in boss battles that are already started, including those where you only help others!

If you are stuck in a long boss battle and there are not enough SS participating, then simply post your link on the the Alliance chat, in the Kongregate chat or in a raven to some allies. The format for Kongregate links is:
www.kongregate.com/games/DisruptorBeam/game-of-thrones-ascent?kv_origin=/play/join_quest/XXX vX all

The format for DB links is:
gota-www.disruptorbeam.com/play/join_quest/XXX vX all

Replace the XXX on the end with the boss quest number, add the volume of the quest (v1-4/u) and info about the attacks (all/battle/trade/intrigue).


One annoying aspect of clicking on those links is that they make the game page do a complete refresh. This takes extra time, and on Kongregate you lose the chat history. You can circumvent this problem by following the instructions in this link: pastebin.com/EGq9NupZ
